Many years ago God began to work in the hearts of many people for a ministry to support Bible Churches of Mexico. A man named Paul Johnson (along with his mother) had the vision to develop a place where churches could come retreats and conferences and be comfortable in the nature of God. Another man named Jody Hower had another vision of starting a camp where young leaders of the churches could come to be trained on how to use nature to encourage more young people and evangelize .
When they got together the ideas, the result was the Camp and Conference Center Koinonia BC Many more are part of raising funds, finding and buying land, and start building the camp. Amealco is located in Queretaro, and devoted himself to the Lord in November 2004. Among many who helped make this project is Robert Davis. This man and his wife lived in the camp for several years and received many teams (Mexicans and Americans) to build much of what you see on the ground. Hower Jody and his wife also lived in the camp and among many things done camps and retreats for churches and Bible Bajio of Mexico.
Although the brothers have returned to the United States, their lives and dedication have had an impact on camp life which will never be forgotten. However, we can not forget either of all the camp friends who come to our beautiful Mexico .
From the beginning, this ministry is longed distinctly Mexican. With this in mind, the board was formed with a majority of Biblical church leaders. Although we will not mention all those involved, Humberto Anaya has been president of the board from the beginning.
They have come and gone several other partners, and indeed God has used many. Today, Camp Koinonia gives thanks to God for Pepe Violante current director of Camp that under his leadership, we expect more events obviously the Lord.
In conclusion, all we thank God for what he has done, is doing, and what it will do with the Camp and Conference Center Koinonia AC
